Anna is called a "Strain", or basically someone who has gotten powers not from the Slate. This doesn't seem to be anything that changes whether she's human or not.

On the other hand, she is also now the Red King, and while the castle diminished her powers, she... more or less has a volcano's worth of fire inside.

Anna doesn't actually have telepathy! She can read minds, so its likely that she can pick up just fine, but she bottles down her abilities so much that if she can sends anything, it won't be just thoughts.


As for plotting, cute creepy kids, clearly.
